I am an independent researcher with a background in architecture.

My research asks how neighbourhood built environments and community practices can help people build connections and develop relationships with places, and how they can contribute to social sustainability. Within this broader interest, my research to date has focused on how older adults engage in intergenerational interactions in community spaces in Seoul, South Korea.

Moving forward, I aim to explore how residents can be supported to engage more actively in shaping their own communities, bringing their place-based knowledge into research and practice.

Alongside academic research, I've explored neighbourhoods and documented interesting insights into how people engage with their local areas.

My research is grounded in qualitative methods, with a focus on understanding how people experience and use everyday urban spaces. I value staying close to the data through careful reading and coding, while gradually expanding my approach through participatory, spatial, and mixed methods.
